The current system is flawed.
It doesn’t work.

• WHAT THEY DO

  • Rest and see how it goes
  • Needling without strengthening
  • Passive massage, no movement
  • Doing light band exercises with no progression
  • Treating the site, never the source

• THE CHRONIC GAINS WAY

  • Your body was built to move — we make it
  • Strength repairs what rest never can
  • Movement heals — stillness stalls
  • Full load. Full range. Full function.
  • We go to the root. Every single time.

The Chronic Gains Method

Our 3-step Rehab Process

Most clinics treat symptoms. We rebuild how your body actually works.
Our structured 3-step injury rehab system is designed to create long-term results.

1

Assess Movement Deficits

We identify the real problem — not just where it hurts, but why it hurts.
This includes movement breakdowns, muscle imbalances, and weaknesses.

2

Rebuild Movement & Function

We correct how your body moves, targeting the injury and the areas above and below it to restore proper mechanics and support long-term recovery.

3

Structured Rehab & Performance Plan

We build a tailored program to progressively restore strength, control, and capacity — so you can return to work, sport, and life with confidence.

Tired of treatments that don’t fix your injury?

Rest, passive treatments, and quick fixes don’t work because they only treat symptoms. We rebuild how your body moves and functions – so your pain actually resolves, not just settles.

  • Laura was excellent, from my first phone call she took the time to understand my goals, assess my strengths and limitations, and tailor a program that was both effective and sustainable.
I have a structured program that is easy to stick to and motivates me at the same time. I saw results in my mobility within a few weeks.
I highly recommend Laura as she will take the time to understand your needs before jumping into an exercise program.

  • Fast tracked recovery and improved performance.
Injured my hip & groin, Doctors said to wait it out for 7+ weeks and prescribed pain meds however meds only help mask the pain. These guys did an in-depth assessment and developed a personalised rehab program. Saw major improvements in range of motion on the first visitation. Went from struggling to get out of bed and returning to combat sports in 4 weeks. They’ve helped identify what exercises I’ll need to incorporate to improve both my performance and prevent future injuries. Now feeling stronger than i was prior to injury. Thanks for the help!

  • I had some basic physio exercises to do, then met An from Chronic Gains who added a few more that really made a difference.
A very positive person he is. I feel stronger & more stable with a few new moves to help my body pains.
You can feel hopeless, lost & depressed in pain, but to get some experienced guidance & a path to move forward on can make all the difference.
    Thank you.

  • Laura assisted me with a few problem areas left over from the military doing its best to break me. The work I have done with Laura has markedly improved my strength and well being in many areas from my core to my wobbly ankles. Laura is extremely knowledgeable and has given me advise on the best and correct ways to continue with my exercise regime moving forward. I would highly recommend Laura based on as mentioned her knowledge and experience alone and her good humour and patience.

  • An has been amazing in helping me recover from a volleyball injury and get back on the court. An designed a personalised program to strengthen my ankles and improve my overall fitness. The sessions were effective and helped me reach my goals quickly. I highly recommend Chronic Gains for anyone looking for an experienced and supportive exercise physiologist.

  • I came to see An and Laura under workers compensation for my shoulder injury and when I first started I was in a lot of pain and had a lot of cracks in the shoulder. After doing strengthening and exercises for my shoulder my pain is gone and the cracks are gone (like WD40). I saw major improvements from here, especially after doing physiotherapy which was good but I didn’t need to do it for so long.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQS

Because what you’ve tried so far has been treating the site of the pain — not the source of it. Massage relaxes a muscle. Rest stops the aggravation. But neither one fixes why the pain keeps coming back.
At Chronic Gains, we look at how your entire muscular system is moving and loading. Pain in your knee might be caused by how your hip is functioning. Pain in your shoulder might start in your thoracic spine. We find that root — then we fix it with progressive strength and movement, not passive treatment.
That’s why people who’ve “tried everything” finally get results here.

An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a specialist in using exercise as medicine to prevent, manage, and treat a wide range of health conditions and injuries. Unlike a Physiotherapist, who primarily focuses on hands-on treatment for acute injuries and pain relief, an EP takes a long-term, evidence-based approach to rehabilitation and performance.

EPs design tailored exercise programs to improve strength, mobility, and overall function, helping clients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and enhance athletic performance. Whether it’s rehabilitating after an injury, supporting NDIS participants, or optimising health and well-being, an EP empowers individuals with the tools to build resilience and achieve lasting results through movement.

We’ll be upfront about pricing on the discovery call — it depends on what your situation needs and we won’t quote you something generic without understanding your case first.
What we will say is this: our clients have typically spent months or years on treatments that didn’t fix the root problem. When something actually works — permanently — it tends to pay for itself quickly. 250+ clients have found it worth it. We think you will too.

It’s a 15-minute conversation — no scripts, no sales pitch. You tell us what’s going on, how long it’s been happening, and what you’ve already tried. We ask the right questions and tell you exactly what we’d do to help.

If it’s a good fit and you want to move forward, the next step is an initial assessment at our gym in Bankstown. That’s where we do a full movement and strength assessment to build your programme from the ground up.

No referral needed. You can come straight to us. We also accept multiple funding types — WorkCover, CTP, NDIS, and Private Insurance. Or you can simply book and come in. Whatever works for you, we’ll make it work on our end.
